ILLUSION AND AMBIGUITY
Judith Grassl's paintings are distinguished by both form and content, playing on several levels: superimpositions of color and form, varied viewpoints, virtual and physical spaces.
Fragments of images merge to create visual universes in which she explores questions of time and change. Her works navigate between realism and surrealism, figuration and abstraction, clarity and ambiguity.
The exhibition project for Judith Grassl's work involves transposing these reflections and the images produced by the artist into the stand space.
The stand will be designed to be immersive, acting as a trompe-l'oeil, inviting visitors to get up close and observe the shadows, shapes and “structures” characteristic of Judith Grassl's work.
