Les « Nids » de Nils-Udo s’imposent comme ses réalisations les plus impressionnantes et lui ont valu d’être reconnu dans l’histoire de l’art contemporain comme un artiste majeur.
Son dernier nid « La couvée », œuvre monumentale et pérenne, a été réalisée en 2018 pour la Fondation Carmignac, sur l’Île de Porquerolles. Posés sur un lit de gravier de marbre de 8 mètres de diamètre, 5 œufs géants en marbre de Carrare mesurant chacun 2 mètres de longueur se révèlent aux visiteurs, nichés en lisière d’un bois dans le parc de La Fondation Carmignac. De cette installation monumentale, Nils-Udo photographe de génie, a réalisé une photographie exceptionnelle présentée pour la première fois dans cette exposition.
The “Nids” of Nils- Udo stand out with their works the most impressive and they give him the value of be recognized in the history of the contemporary art as a major artist. The last Nid “”La couvée” (The brood) monumental and perennial artwork, it was realized in 2018 foto the Carmignac Fondation, at the Porquerolles Island. Placed on a bed of marble gravel 8 meters in diameter, 5 giants eggs in marble of Carrara each measuring 2 meters in length are revealed to visitors, nestled on the edge of a wood at the park of The Carmignac Foundation. In this monumental installation, Nils-Udo a great photographer, has realized an exceptional photograph presented for the first time in this exhibition.
