The exhibition of Alain Josseau will present, at the gallery 37 rue Chapon, a set of 16 works from the series Géographes unpublished, realized between 2021 and 2022, which will be exhibited alongside a new Time-surface #16 , sixteenth of the famous series of Time-Surfacessurface, also on the theme of the geographical map a monumental carpet «War rug » of 7 meters by 2 as well as in room 2, the installation «G255 #2 » video/ model, devoted in room 2.
Alain Josseau, painter of contemporary history, building a thought around the image through his drawings, paintings, installations and videos, integrates since 1996, around media images, a reflection on their reality, their mode of manufacture and diffusion.
His works are regularly exhibited in various museums and public collections: CAC Meymac, EDF Foundation, Boghossian Foundation, Villa Empain Brussels, Frac Auvergne, Marta Herford Museum, Herford Germany, Les abattoirs, Toulouse, Cité des Science et de l'Industrie, La Villette, Toulouse Metro, FNAC, Paris, Frances Foundation, Photology Milan.
